Vala L. Metz
Partner / Attorney
Vala focuses her practice on the defense of medical practitioners and facilities throughout Alaska and Idaho.
Vala obtained degrees in history and law from the University of Idaho, working with the Idaho Conservation League and the United States Attorney’s Office in externship. Following law school, she served as law clerk to the Honorable Trevor N. Stephens, a Superior Court Judge serving Alaska’s First Judicial District in Ketchikan, Alaska.
At the end of her clerkship term, Vala relocated to Boise where she entered private practice with a civil litigation defense firm. Since joining Quane McColl Metz, PLLC in 2018, she is proud to continue the firm’s tradition of providing high-quality legal counsel to members of Idaho and Alaska’s great and varied medical communities.
Outside of practice and professional associations, Vala spends her free time with her family and friends, taking in live music, traveling, and getting outdoors. Vala is a native Idahoan (though her husband is from Ketchikan) and their children are sixth generation Idahoans.
