Alec T. Pechota is an attorney at Quane Jones McColl, PLLC, who focuses his practice on insurance defense, professional malpractice defense, and general civil litigation defense. Alec has varied civil experience, including disability rights, information governance, commercial law, creditor’s rights, employment law, personal injury, and municipal defense. He has litigated state and federal civil matters across Idaho and has argued before the Idaho Supreme Court on several occasions.
Alec was raised in Rapid City, South Dakota. Alec graduated from Montana State University in 2002 with a B.A. in business marketing and received his J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2005. He has called the Treasure Valley his family’s home ever since. After law school, Alec served a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Juneal Kerrick of the Third Judicial District. Prior to joining Quane Jones McColl, Alec practiced as a staff attorney with DisAbility Rights Idaho, one of Idaho’s most effective human rights organizations. He is admitted to practice law in Idaho and South Dakota.
Alec has chaired Idaho’s Region 3 Keeping Children Safe Panel and has been involved with the Idaho Volunteer Lawyer’s Program Policy Council. He is a graduate from the Idaho Academy of Leadership for Lawyers, a highly selective and well-regarded leadership training program for lawyers from across the state.
